Biography - Mike Fowler came to Lloyd Irvin after High School and was placed into Lloyd Irvin's intensive Grappling Gameplan program. 3.5 years later, Mike Fowler was a BJJ Black Belt, placing 2nd in the PanAm tournament. A year later, he was placed into the toughest No-Gi tournament in the World - the Abu Dhabi Submission Wrestling championships, and ended up taking 4th, losing to 3x Champion, Marcelo Garcia after defeating Renzo Gracie and Saulo Ribeiro.
 
It is important to note that through the phenomenal training provided at Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts Academy, Mike Fowler was able to go from a largely unremarkable athlete (during his youth) to one of America's best Grapplers. It is doubtful as to whether Mike Fowler would have been able to get such opportunities or achieve such results at a lesser gym.
